With a stretch of 78km, the Scorff River is one of the largest category 1 rivers in Morbihan. It originates in the municipality of Langoëlan, crosses the department through the municipalities of Guémené-Sur-Scorff, Plouay, and Pont-Scorff, and flows into the Blavet River near Lorient. It is a renowned river for salmon and brown trout fishing.
For fishing, the preferred techniques include float fishing and using live bait (vairon) at the beginning of the season, and lure and fly fishing from May to September. Discretion is important on this fishing stretch, as the fish are educated and sometimes finicky!
